Fully oxidised, black teas have dark leaves and
make a darker colored tea with a strong bold flavour,
quite different to unfermented teas. Several foreigners
on the TeaVivre team started out drinking black teas,
before graduating onto other tea types. During
processing the taste matures into the fruity, nutty or
spicy taste characteristic of black teas. The black teas
that are the favourites with us at TeaVivre – including us
foreigners – would have to be either our Keemun or our
Dian Hong black teas.
