Perfect size. the entire set is wonderfully made and the quality is outstanding. I've had it for a few moths now and no remarks except that I'm fully content
Beautiful, the glass is indeed very thin and delicate but the quality is not lacking. Compared to other gaiwan this one in particular is somewhat smaller in size (100ml is not much unless you're brewing for just yourself). The weight on the lid and cup is also well balanced as the cup can hold still when the lid is vertically in between the cup and saucer, others might slighly lift the cup up which this one doesn't.
Tea pitcher is very nice and functional. Glass gaiwan conducts more heat then the porcelain one, so it is easier to burn your fingers on this one. Therefore it is a good gaiwan to make greens or whites, and can be troublesome especially for pu-ehrs where you should use boiling water.
The pitcher is very nice and functional. I just love it. The cover of the gaiwan is a bit slippery, and it is difficult to sip the tea from it as it does not lay very well on the cup.
The glass is so thin so that the lid to the gaiwan slips out of place easily. The pitcher is simple and functional.
I love the quality of this gaiwan and pitcher. So delicate, light and functional. These items are beautiful to look at and handmade. Brewing the tea in this gaiwan allows the leaves to be visualized during steeping. The leaves open up and produce a beautiful fragrance. If you haven't tried using a gaiwan before it can really help allow you to enjoy your tea experience in a new way. I really love that this glass is made to go from one extreme temperature to another. I can easily pour boiling water into the gaiwan to brew my tea, then use cool tap water from the sink to rinse out the leaves once I'm finished, and then pour boiling water in it again to sterilize it before putting it away. Amazing. Word of caution, after steeping, the gaiwan does get hot so please be careful when pouring tea into the pitcher to serve. Make sure to hold it from the very top. Packaging was also very nice. Bubble wrapped and in individually boxed. Very nice purchase.
Just what I wanted, matches well with many teapots from this site, not only because of it's delicate appearance, but also because of the volume it holds. Sturdy, and the handle doesn't get too hot when used, which is a plus ;)
The gaiwan glass is nice and thick and the cha hai also feels durable. I'm not afraid of any accidents with these, and feel comfortable using them. I also love watching my tea steep! I was also really impressed with how this item was packaged.
