Commonly asked questions
- Q: There was not any information on this tea in regards to pesticides or tests. Are there safety guidelines that must be met for pesticides in this tea? I am concerned because I have read about pesticide safety regulations being more relaxed in China compared to Europe or North America. If there's more information you could provide about the safety and in regards to pesticides, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. Posted on 7/17/17 by Skye
Reply: The original tea bush of Pu-erh tea usually grows in high altitude mountains, and the living environment there is ecological and natural for there is not too much artificial intervention. And the tea tree of this Da Xue Shan (Big Snow Mountain) Raw Pu-erh Cake grows in more than 2,000 meters high mountain, where the residents is rare, so the environment is very good, and tea farmers will not use pesticide, they usually let tea trees grow naturally.
- Q: The summary says that this tea has "Ba Qi (霸气：it is a term to describe the strength of the tea over other teas)." What sort of strength does this refer to? I have a sample of this and I've brewed it many times without the flavor diminishing. Is that the strength that the term "Ba Qi" refers to? This is a new term for me so any clarification you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you! Posted on 7/15/17 by Skye
Reply: The term "Ba Qi" usually refers that the tea has strong Cha Qi, simply speaking, it means that the first sip of the tea may taste bitter and strong, but will soon turns to sweet taste. and after dinking this tea, you will still feel a strong, long-lasting, sweet aftertaste, and producing a copious secretion of saliva, or sometimes sweat. And these feeling will be stronger than other tea.
