The Nonpareil Handmade Anxi Qing Xiang TieGuanYin Oolong Tea is a delicious example of TieGuan/Yin. It has a smooth balanced taste and the slight after taste leaves me wanting more. This tea is in the upper middle range of quality Tie Guan Yin in my opinion. I plan to order more.

This tea is light and easy drinking, gentle, and smooth. It is absolutely my favorite tea. While it frequently calls me to sit and drink it calmly and in a meditative way I also just as often drink it casually throughout the day. Thankfully for those who love it as much as me, like most white teas, it can be steeped MANY times when brewed gongfu style so a little can go a long way. In my experience up to 10 steeps is normal with this particular tea at least for what I'm happy to drink. It's also very forgiving and frankly almost hard to get wrong, even over-steeped or steeped too hot it is never particularly astringent. I first bought this three years ago and its on my gift list from family every year since and will continue to be (but I'm stocking up now to be safe because of Americas "trade war")

This is an excellent roasted oolong. Overall, the value and quality are pretty comparable to a couple of my other favorites: Lao Cong Mi Lan Xiang (Honey Orchid) and Wudong Xing Ren Xiang (Almond Aroma). I think I'll put it as a close third for now and worth including in the rotation, although I had better try them side-by-side to be sure. This is full-bodied, durable, soft, sweet, complex, and neither astringent nor bitter. I find that medium roasts like this suit my tastes. This one, for example, picks up some bright and mild woodiness, but no burnt, overly smoky, or carbon taste. The character of this one seems a bit more mellow and reserved than some other roast oolongs, so it's quite relaxing.

Brewed gong fu style according to the directions. Lovely sweet taste like freshly harvested peas, which gains a drier, almost minty note in the final steep. A bit astringent, but refreshing. Gives a feeling of gentle clarity and optimism.

Brewed gong fu style at ~180F, this tea had a sweet vegetal scent, very like fresh snap peas, a little bit on the starchy side. The flavor was smooth and vegetal-sweet for the first few infusions, gaining a more pronounced sweetness on later infusions, and a scent almost like orange pith, but with no bitter taste. The feeling after drinking it is a gentle uplift, very pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed my sample of this tea!

I've been drinking this tea more often lately. It really sits nice on a temperate spring day. It's very fresh and clean tasting with a cotton-like feeling, typical of Bai Mu Dan. This tea brings more to the table than that, I can very clearly notice a note of linden, something unique in this type of tea in my experience. It also has some sweetness, with a faint orange zest impression. It can get somewhat bitter and less pleasant to drink if left too long to steep, so grandpa style isn't the best way to enjoy this tea in my opinion; I stick to a gaiwan with this one.

This is probably the best ripe Pu Erh I've had in this price range. It's very smooth and clean tasting, with a touch of bitterness and notes of sandalwood and plums. It's also enduring and doesn't get gritty and unpleasant towards the end like some do.

I've drank a half of this cake so far and decided to write my thoughts about it. It's a nice and refreshing daily tea for sure, even in the early morning when I want bright notes to wake me up and my senses. I've had this tea several ways, gongfu in a gaiwan, gongfu in a Yixing, western teapot, grandpa style... So far the best experience was in a gaiwan, it's fun chasing the perfect temperature, leaf amount and steeping time in order to catch the creamy note that doesn't appear always, but is quite enjoyable when it does. There's a decent intensity of bright citrus notes with mineral aftertaste and fruity sweetness resting on the gums. It can get somewhat bitter if oversteeped, but it's expected and I tend to handle bitterness quite well. Making this tea in Yixing somehow transforms it into a green tea, the roasted and more robust one, I don't see it as an improvement over ceramic gaiwan. Western teapot method does a decent job, although I prefer having it semi-gongfu so that in a way I can enjoy how the tea changes in a few steeps. Lastly, grandpa style isn't for me with this one, it's just average when less leaf is used, and the tea gets too intense in every aspect after a few sips, like a cacophony of tastes and aromas if I use more leaves.

I've only tried a handful of raw puers so far, but I thought this one was nice and approachable for a newbie. The first steep was sweeter than I expected it to be, and it never became unpleasantly bitter or astringent. The light floral smell turned to more of a subtle orange zest aroma during the longer steeps, with a burst of sweetness at the end.

I tried all keemuns from Teavivre, except grade 2, that’s about 6 or 7 varieties. This one is good enough to drink without milk and sugar. Not so aromatic like Hao Ya, or Mao Feng, but difference is not so huge as I was expecting. No bitterness, no smoke, really good taste. The only one reason why now I choose another Keemuns is that leaves in this grade 1 is too small (I like to steep grandpa style).

Premium Golden Monkey is a smooth and mellow black tea. It has notes of brown sugar, mahogany, and a pleasant note of malt that lingers in the mouth. The complexity fades over a couple of steepings, but the sweetness remains.

As someone who drinks mostly oolongs, Organic Gunpowder Green Tea tasted more oxidized like an oolong than a green tea. It was well balanced with a mild roasted/smokiness and a slightly sour and astringent aftertaste. It seems like a tea that would pair well with food. In the sample I received, the tea was not as well rolled as the website photos show.

Anxi Monkey King Tie Guan Yin is fresh, floral, and well-balanced. There is a mild vegetal taste like steamed greens, a pleasant orchid fragrance, and the right amount of the classic Tie Guan Yin sourness. This is one of our favorite teas from TeaVivre.

Zheng Wei Tie Guan Yin has a clean and refreshing mouth feel. It has the expected sourness of a Tie Guan Yin with notes of bamboo or dry grass. There are mild floral notes which make this a very pleasant greenish Tie Guan Yin.
