Brewed this tea Western style at ~200F, 3 minutes for the first infusion, 5 minutes for the second. It has a very sweet, pleasant smell, almost like butterscotch. Smooth and without bitterness, I enjoy the dessert-like comfort when served with plenty of milk and/or a tiny bit of sugar (half a teaspoon was plenty for me). Overall this was a lovely, affordable treat on a cold and somewhat stressful morning.

I still have a little left over from the spring of 2024 harvest. Spring is here again and I'm craving green teas again. This one is just superb. Jasmine greens were one of my first tea loves and this one is just everything I could want. Fragrant. Sweet. Super relaxing. An excellent tea.

First try and first impression : 3 grams steepd for 4 minutes - wet leaves have hint of dark berry aroma like jam but very light. Taste : - No bitterness at all - very light (black tea) taste and aroma i can't pick complex tastes or smells from the cup . - good red orange color . - no smokiness at all. Maby good at night for a light tasting tea Generally its good tea but I prefer a bit stronger and obvious taste for the morning cup. I'll try it again and update my review if I feel any changes.

The warm leaves have the typical raw puerh aroma, with a lot of floral and vegetal aroma peeking through. The taste, wow, so good! It has some Alishan oolong notes (high quality, floral and vegetal). The texture is smooth. Worth buying! I already want more.

If you're looking for that luxurious jasmine scent, I recommend this tea! The flavor itself is delicate, with a hint of bitterness, and mild astringency. I brewed this at 185F, 5 minutes on the first infusion, 7 on the second. I actually like the second infusion best, because the jasmine aroma softens somewhat and lets the tea flavor come through more.

This was a great sampler, I’d recommend to anyone looking to try a good variety of unique black teas. The wuyi golden buds were fantastic, and the hua xiang xiao zhong had all the peach in the right way.

This is a beautiful, soft green tea that really does smell and taste like Spring. It has a sweet, floral scent that pairs well with the vegetal juiciness to create a gentle and refreshing experience.

This is an excellent sheng puerh! It is very young, completely not aged, but what a contrast to other young sheng puer teas - it is sweet, mellow, strong orchid fragrance and taste, and in less extent - floral and honey notes, pretty weak but clearly present. Having some experience with young sheng - I made shorter infusions than the instructions, and I recommend this to all. By making shorter infusions, you will ensure sweet and pleasant tea with no astringency or bitterness at all, and have much more infusions, this tea is a very long lasting. And even if you make a mistake and brew it for too long - instead of bitterness and tobacco taste (like some other young sheng puerhs do) you receive a kind of intensified orchid astringency. Eventually I found myself playing with the brewing time, trying to make it a bit longer and then a bit shorter, and each time the reaction of the tea was different, making it an intriguing and pleasant game. This tea is way more expensive than most of young sheng puerhs - but to my opinion it is definitely worth it. XiGui is a higher league!
