Angel's Comment:
Easy to use and store, it is a tea set that allows you to travel with your favorite tea.
This coarse pottery Kuai Ke Bei consists of a gaiwan and two cups, suitable for a single-person session or for sharing. It simplifies the complex process of traditional Chinese gongfu tea-brewing, yet still retains the feeling and essence. Nine filter holes along the inside of the gaiwan help to filter out tea residue, and the sides of the body are recessed for easy handling. This set comes with a cloth bag, convenient for storage and carrying. Whether in the office, on a business trip, or travelling for another reason, this set can bring you a convenient, easy tea drinking experience.
The set is dark green overall; after firing at 1300 degrees in a kiln the surface has formed sparse black mineral spots. This is a feature of the glaze rather than a flaw.
The cups come in two sizes: 90mL and 50mL.
Placement.
The cloth bag is double-layered, stitched by hand and with fine workmanship.
Coarse pottery crafts are characterized by their natural color. Compared to other fine porcelain crafts, known for their delicacy and grace, coarse pottery is a different style retaining an innate sense of history. This style can also preserve the original taste and fragrance of tea, by gradually absorbing the liquid into its interior surface due to the material’s good breathability; as time goes by the color slowly darkens, much like of a Zisha teapot. Coarse pottery crafts also have ornamental and collectible value.
