Double Blue Lines Tea Cup - Blessing

Made of white porcelain, this teacup is fired with a pure transparent glaze and decorated with carefully hand-painted double blue lines. Resembling the common Chinese rice bowl, this cup has a stable base due to its wide mouth and reduced height, and its simple color design marks it as especially elegant. There is also a matching gaiwan in this same style.

Double Blue Lines High Foot Tea Cup

This teacup is made of a high-quality clay and fired with a smooth glaze and uniform color. The design might seem like it is easy to paint, when in fact it is quite the opposite: it takes extreme care and skill to be able to draw the parallel lines like this, with any breach in consistency causing the lines to become too thin or thick, or will skew from their course.

The clean, natural lines and elegant appearance of this cup will provide a sense of simple beauty to your tea ceremony.

White Porcelain - As a traditional porcelain in China, among celadon porcelain (青瓷), blue and white porcelain (青花瓷), painted porcelain (彩瓷), the white porcelain (白瓷) is made of porcelain which has low content of iron, and then covered with clean and transparent glaze. Unlike painted porcelain, white porcelain doesn’t have fabulous patterns or colorful appearance, but it is the pure and bright white color makes white porcelain possess the charm of naturalness and elegance.

玄纹 (xuán wén) - 玄纹 (xuán wén), also called double-lines, is one of the most classic lined ornamentation in Chinese ceramic art. Among all the ornamentations, lotus, dragon and phoenix patterns are the most common. Although looks simple, the hand-painted double lines require masterful craftsmanship, even for professional and experienced craftsmen, painting the parallel and smooth lines is not very easy to complete.
