Fujian, referred to as “Min”, along the southeast coast of China, with sea to the east, enjoys warm climate, abundant rainfall and without cold winter or hot summer, its geomorphology are mainly mountain and hilly areas, and its soils are mainly yellow and red in color, deep in layers, suitable for tea growing. Fujian tea-growing area locates in southern part of China, the best area suitable for tea growing, Fujian is a big Chinese tea production province enjoying a long history, thanks to advantaged natural conditions, good tea quality and wide varieties, among six main tea categories, except dark tea and yellow tea, it produces all other categories: oolong tea, white tea, black tea, flowering tea and green tea.
Main tea of Nanping City:
Wuyi Rock Tea: locates in Wuyi Mountain of Wuyishan City, belongs to oolong tea category, the main types are Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe), Rougui (Cinnamon), Tieluohan (Iron Arhat), Shuijingui (Golden Turtle), Baijiguan (White Rooster) and so on;
Zhengshan xiaozhong (Lapsang souchong): locates in Paulownia areas of Wuyishan City, belongs to black tea category, Jin Junmei (Golden Steed Eyebrow) is the best tea among Lapsang Souchong;
Zhenghe Gongfu: produced in Zhenghe, belongs to black tea category, is one of the three main Gongfu tea in Fujian (Tanyang Gungfu, Bailin Gungfu);
White Tea: Zhenghe, Jianyang and Songxi produce white tea, the main types of white tea are Pekoe Silver Needle, White Peony, Gongmei, Shoumei, etc.;
Zhenghe Jasmine Yinzhen: Produced in Zhenghe, belongs to scented tea category.
Main tea of Ningde City:
Bailin-gongfu: produced in Fuding Taimu mountain, belongs to black tea category, is one of the three main Gongfu tea in Fujian (Tanyang-gongfu, Zhenghe-gongfu);
Tanyang-gongfu: produced in Fu’an, belongs to black tea category, is one of the three main Gongfu tea in Fujian (Bailin-gongfu, Zhenghe-gongfu);
White tea: produced in Fuding Taimu Mountain, its taste is slightly better than Zhenghe white tea;
Tianshan green tea: produced in Pingnan Tianshan mountain, its main tea products are Queshe, Fengmei, Tianshan Yinhao, etc.;
Jinrong Fengyan: produced in Fuding, belongs to green tea category;
Lotus tea: produced in Fuding and Xiapu, belongs to green tea category.
Main tea of Sanming City:
Yunfeng Maofeng: produced in the Yongan, belongs to green tea category;
Daxian Fenghao: produced in Datian, belongs to green tea category;
Yunfeng Luohao: produced in Yongan, belongs to green tea category;
Xueshan MaoJian: produced in Datian, belongs to green tea category;
Lotus Yinsi: produced in Qingliu, belongs to green tea category;
Main tea of Fuzhou City:
Dingfeng Hao: produced in Fuzhou Ending tea plantation, belongs to green tea category;
Meilan Chun: produced in Fuzhou Ending tea plantation, belongs to green tea category;
Lianfeng Dahao: produced at the foot of Minqing Lotus Peak, this belongs to green tea category, mainly sold in Beijing, Tianjin, Jiangsu and Zhejiang;
Xuefeng Baimaohou: produced in Minhou, belongs to green tea category, mainly sold in Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Shanghai, and other cities;
Gushan Baiyun: produced in Fuzhou, belongs to green tea category;
Jasmine tea: produced in Fuzhou, belongs to scented tea category, mainly has jasmine Longtuan, Jasmine spring, Jasmine Yin Hao and other tea.
Main tea of Longyan City:
Narcissus tea cake: produced in Zhangping, belongs to oolong tea category, tea brick out of the oolong tea manufacturing process, also known as “paper-wrap tea”;
Xiebei tea: produced in Longyan City, belongs to green tea category, popular in Fujian Xiamen and Guangdong TaiPo, Chaozhou and Singapore areas.
Main tea of Quanzhou City:
Iron Goddess of Mercy: produced in Anxi, belongs to oolong tea category, known as “oolong masterpiece”;
Yongchun Buddha’s- hand: produced in Yongchun, belongs to oolong tea category, with quantity nearly 1/3 more than Tie Guanyin and other tea, it is the most famous tea in Yongchun.
