TeaVivre Restart Shipment from Xiamen

To all my dear tea lovers, TeaVivre members, families and friends.

I am Angel, founder of TeaVivre.

It seems to be quite a long time in the past month. To consider safety of our TeaVivre member, we have stopped shipment from Xiamen since Chinese Spring Festival.

During the time we work from home, we received many emails from customers concerning our safety. Here on behalf of whole TeaVivre team, I would like to express our biggest grateful for all your concerns. All of TeaVivre members stay safe and healthy. Thanks again for your concern and support.

Yet over a month passed, for the orders in the past that can’t ship from our Xiamen Warehouse, we have either refund the order or keep the order (as customer wish) until the shipment resumes. So many people expressed their understanding for the situation and kept the order until shipment recovery. Words can hardly express our gratitude to you. Thank you very much for all your patience.

Now in Xiamen there’s no new cases for 19 days from Feb. 18 and all the 35 coronavirus patients have been cured. Based on a serious consideration, we have already restart shipment from Xiamen and the orders retained in the past month have been shipped these days. However, as the shipment just restart, the shipping time will probably be slower than normal.

I quite understand that some customers still probably worry about the safety of the tea and package. As in the previous news I explained that our products are produced in Spring or Autumn and we complement the stock in Spring or Autumn in 2019. So please take it easy, all our teas are totally safe.

We also take serious disinfection for the whole office and for all the things regarding packing. All the package will again be disinfect when shipping out.

Hope a cup of tea can give you a calm and relax moment from this anxious season.

I quite understand that some people may also worry about the package from China. I have also searched for some information to help you to be more relieved. You can refer to the information below.

Thanks again to all my dear customers and friends. Your understanding and support give great encouragement to us. We will continue pay attention to the situation and provide good tea to you based on measures to guarantee safety.

The CDC writes, “There is still a lot that is unknown about the newly emerged COVID-19 and how it spreads.” But the health agency went on to state that based on the behavior of past coronaviruses, “In general, because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on surfaces, there is likely very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures. Coronaviruses are generally thought to be spread most often by respiratory droplets. Currently there is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with imported goods and there have not been any cases of COVID-19 in the United States associated with imported goods.

A past study found that these related coronaviruses can stay on surfaces such as metal, glass or plastic for as long as nine days, according to a study published Feb. 6 in The Journal of Hospital Infection. But the surfaces present in packaging are not ideal for the virus to survive.

World Health Organization make statement that People receiving packages from China are not at risk of contracting the new coronavirus as coronaviruses do not survive long on objects, such as letters or packages.
