Angel's Comment:

This teapot is really tiny and lovely, making it great for tea enthusiasts looking for a little teapot.

Mei Ren Jian teapot (or beauty shoulder teapot) is one of the classic teapot shapes in traditional Chinese culture. It has full and round body with full and well-proportioned pot shoulders, which gradually taper downwards, forming a roughly inverted triangle proportion, just like the narrow and round women shoulder, hence the name.

dimension

We were drawn to this teapot by its compactness and delicacy the first time we saw it. The 110ml volume is ideal for usage by one or two persons. It is handcrafted from carefully selected Zhu Ni clay; as we all know, the smaller the teapot, the more time and attention required of the teapot maker. This Mei Ren Jian has smooth and clear lines, outstanding pouring performance, and easy to hold. Tea lovers who prefer little teapots may consider getting it!

Material - Zhu Ni

Because it is made from zhuni, this teapot is a rich red color with a slightly orange hue, and a smooth, soft surface. The style of the teapot is simple and understated, yet at the same time quaint and elegant; the material has a distinctive double-pore surface with tiny corrugations, allowing the teapot to both breathe and to hold in the fragrances and tastes of tea brewed with it.

Note: make sure to “preheat” or warm the teapot before using it to brew, by pouring warm water into and over it before the water for your tea. Zhuni does not react well to quick changes in temperature.

The area boasts abundant resources of argil, tea, bamboo, and charcoal, each of which contributes an important base material for the making of pottery. Yixing Zisha products have earned countless prizes both at home in China as well as abroad, with a few exceptional works presented as national gifts during international diplomacy.
