Angel's Comment:
This tea with sweet and rich taste is good for gastrointestinal peristalsis, which is the best drink for office workers.
Genmaicha is a kind of green tea, made with brown rice after it is soaked, cooked, and baked, to be then blended with Sencha green tea. With a bright, yellowish-green liquid and a characteristic sweet taste, not only is this tea fresh like other greens, but it also retains the lovely fragrance of fried rice.
Brown rice is rich in vitamins C, B2, and B6, and is also low in calories and rich in fiber as well. Along with this, the green tea contains a lot of tannins with anti-oxidative and anti-bacterial properties and can help prevent arteriosclerosis and undesirable cosmetic effects. Therefore, genmaicha, combining both of the benefits, will have more prominent health effects; this means that it is favored among many modern tea-drinkers.
