Angel's Comment:
It’s a very quaint black pottery tea set with simple with ordinary appearance and delicate workmanship.
Chan Feng, or the zen style, reflects and focuses on simplicity and authenticity of all things. It emphasizes peace and simplicity, both elements which carry over quite well to teaware. TeaVivre’s zen style black pottery set is composed of a mainly black monochromatic scheme, and without any gaudy decorations or extras. Its calm, restrained style is characteristic of this zen mindset.
The tea set is matte in texture with a smooth body line, simple yet quality. Its crafting combines both traditional methods as well as techniques from more contemporary pottery crafts. Zen style teaware is not as classic or well-known as Zisha wares, but they still retain an admirable breathability: following a long period of use the set will gradually become shinier in appearance. Brewing tea with this set allows us to both relax as well as experience a special, intimate sense of the zen style.

Black Pottery
Black pottery refers to a type of pottery made through a carburizing process. It is a special type of pottery loved by collectors and tea drinkers, and throughout history has been known as “the civilization of earth and fire and the combination of strength and beauty.” Compared to other types of pottery, this style of black pottery is simple with a delicate, exquisite texture and quality of workmanship. These traits are how it has withstood the test of history and prevailed through to today.
