The old tree refers to the wild ancient trees grown in natural forests, or semi-cultivated old tea trees in wild areas, or artificially cultivated tea trees that have been existed for ten decades.

Upon opening the paper wrapper, you’ll be attracted by its remarkable golden buds. As it enters the mouth, coming in contact with tongue, you can quickly feel its sweetness and then spread in the mouth. In addition, it offers a soft, mellow taste and leaves a smooth feeling in the throat. Excellent aged puerh that is worth your tasting of its featured characteristics of smooth and mellow. The fresh leaves for making this cake were picked and processed into raw teas (毛茶) in spring, 2006. Then a two-year pile fermentation process was carried out before they were further processed into cake teas in May, 2008. In the following seven years, those cake teas have been stored in the special warehouses for fermentation purpose. So, when brewing this tea the aged scent is prominent and the liquor is typically bright red and clear. The liquid aroma of this tea is intriguing and smells a little bit like red dates while tastes very mild and balanced without bitterness. Harvested from Fengqing large-leaf tea bush species over 200 years old, this raw Pu-erh cake made by Mr. Zhou is picked by one bud with one or two leaves, and then processed with the traditional methods. It has a flat and round appearance with plenty of tea buds evenly distributed inside and outside of the cake. When brewing, the fragrance of tea will be slowly spread, along with a slight of honey notes. Since it's a relatively young raw Pu-erh cake tea, so it has slightly bitter and astringent taste, but it will quickly transform this flavor into sweetness. Unlike other Pu-erh teas, this raw Pu-erh is a very interesting tea that needs to be carefully taste, and it will surprise you with its taste and aroma for the each time you try. |
