Angel's Comment:

This Peach Jasmine Dragon Pearls Green Tea is absolutely an amazing tea for tea lovers fond of fruity and floral taste.

Certification:

Eurofins Certification

This Peach Jasmine Dragon Pearl green tea is made with the same methods as the regular jasmine pearls, where it is rolled into small, pearl-shape balls, and dried. However, while drying, these pearls are mixed with natural peach extractives, giving it its special fruity flavor. The scenting of the tea leaves with jasmine flowers lasts as long as five hours, and the step is repeated for up to seven times in a row; though the crafting process is complicated, the brewing of this tea is a pleasant experience.

Brewing will coax the sweet peachy aroma out of the tea leaves as well as infuse it into the liquid, becoming thinner after several steeps and giving way to the more floral taste of the jasmine.

The Wenyang Tea Garden is located in Guanlin Town, Fuding City, at an elevation between 500 and 800 meters. The weather here is warm and humid with abundant rainfall, and the tea plantation is always surrounded by fog, creating the perfect environment for the tea bushes to accumulate a rich array of microminerals and organic nutrients in the leaves. The tea plants growing here are mostly of the Fuding Dabaihao variety.

Tea Farmer
Tea farmer Mr. Lin

Mr. Lin was born in Fuding, Fujian, and has been living in a tea-filled environment all his life. His father, grandfather, and great-grandfather are all tea farmers; when in elementary school, Mr. Lin helped pick the tea when there were not enough workers. This led to his dream of becoming further engaged in the tea business. He said: “My original idea was to establish a good life for my family by running a tea business. But when I got to that point in 1993, I changed my mind: Fuding is one of the best places for growing tea. So I wanted to create a long-term organic tea business.”

Mr. Lin is now one of the first founders of Chinese white tea, owning almost 2800 acres of high-quality Fuding tea gardens, including the only organic tea garden in Fujian that has passed all the European, American, and Japanese certifications. This organic garden has also become the national agricultural standard.

In 2008, his Silver Needle white tea won the gold medal at the annual Chinese White Tea festival in Beijing.

Tea Bush

This peach jasmine dragon pearls green tea is made from the leaves of the Fuding Dabaihao plant, which also provides the material for TeaVivre’s Silver Needle white tea. The Silver Needle tea follows the picking standard of one leaf to one bud, while these jasmine dragon pearls use two or more leaves to one bud.

Fuding Dabaihao propagates asexually and takes the form of a small tree, up to 2.8m high with a thick trunk. In 1985 it was certified as a national tea plant variety, and the with the spring-picked leaves containing 1.8% amino acids and 28.2% tea polyphenols, it is an excellent base to make high-quality white and green teas.
