Dahaocha is a tiny tree with yellow-green buds and leaves, as well as many hairs. The Dahao tree is native to Fuding City and has been farmed for over a century. It is mostly found in Fujian tea districts. The spring buds, one bud with two leaves comprise around 3.5% amino acids, 25.7% tea polyphenols, 18.4% catechins, and 4.3% caffeine.
