Angel's Comment:
This Golden Monkey Black Tea with its great taste and value ratio make it one of our Top Sellers.
Coming from Fujian, this Golden Monkey is made of the fresh buds and leaves of Fuding Pekoe after sun-withering, rolling, fermentation, and drying. This tea’s unique fruity flavor comes through on every sip of the liquid.
The fuzzy golden tips of this tea add to its appearance, one of the reasons it is called Golden Monkey. Another reason is the monkey-claw shape of the dry tea, black and gold in color; when brewed, the leaves bring out a brisk and smooth taste for the first sip, above a distinctive flavor with a sweet aftertaste.
Just like our Bai Lin Gong Fu, this Golden Monkey tea comes from Fujian Province and uses Fuding Pekoe as the base material, in the traditional method of crafting black tea. It is fully fermented, and contains one bud and two or three leaves; the golden color in the dry tea is due to the buds. While brewing, the leaves will spread in the liquid, showing their long, thin, full shape. The characteristic black tea taste comes through strong on the first sip, while the more unique sweet aftertaste lingers immediately after swallowing. This tea leaves a mellow aroma lingering in your mouth; if you love black tea, this is an excellent choice to try.

Our Golden Monkey black tea comes from Fuding in Fujian province, on the southeastern Chinese coast. The tropical and mountainous coastal climate here is perfect for growing tea. The area receives abundant rainfall, with misty spring days and mild temperatures through both summer and winter; the mountains around this region are almost completely forested, ensuring a high natural fertility of the soil and organic content, which in turn eliminates the need to use fertilizers.

Mr. Lin has been a professional tea farmer for over forty years. Born to a traditional tea family, he has been deeply ingrained in the culture since childhood, and ended up building his own tea factory. As his factory gradually grows, he continually attempts to seek a common development between the tea enterprise and the tea farmers themselves.
Mr. Lin believes that the hardest factor to overcome is the weather: if leaves suffer from bad weather, then the result will be a reduced yield with lowered quality. During cold weather the leaves are covered with straw in order to prevent them from frosting; this is one thing that Mr. Lin has learned throughout his years of experience.
His first priority is to strictly control his products’ quality and ensure its reputation. Mr. Lin, together with his tea factory, will continue to provide high-quality tea and regularly increase the number of factories that do so.
This Golden Monkey Black Tea is produced in Fuding City, Fujian Province which is a famous tea-producing area located in the northeast of Fujian Province. Fuding belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate, characteristic of coastal areas. The average annual sunshine lasts 1840 hours; the average annual temperature is 18.5°C and the average annual precipitation is 1661.6 mm.
Golden Monkey Black Tea is made from the leaves of the Fuding Dahao tea plant, also called “Dahao” for short.Fuding Da Hao propagates asexually, and belongs to the semi-tree form. In 1985 it was certified as a national variety, with trees reaching up to 2.8 meters high and a thick trunk.
